Why does the Red Planet have a dark side? Possibly because of the ridiculously awful blogging tool that powers the blog on our official site.
The tool came with the CMS installed by our web designer - PulsePro. Now I don't have too many complaints about the rest of the system, but the blog tool is hopeless. No tags, no way of specifying a sensible URL, no ability to text wrap around images. I could go on except that I have so far found the whole thing so irritating I have only produced 2 posts so far.
I just can't bring myself to try any more.
I did think it was probably my stupidity and that of course the tools were there. But then I checked out the PulsePro forum. There I found someone else asking if the developers were considering adding tag functionality to the blog tool. The reply of the developer?
"What sort of tags do you mean?"
So that's not happening then!
So what to do? The blog is integrated into the website, but it's rubbish. The retweet button I've added works, but you have to recode it manually each time same with the facebook like button. I could use blogger but lose the links I need to integrate it into the website. I only wish i knew more about web design.
